Onshore Wind Platform
Wind energy is the leading source of renewable energy in the US, and with ambitions to reach 280GW installed onshore wind capacity over the next decade, there is a great potential for Danish onshore wind energy companies. The Onshore Wind Platform supports Danish companies in entering the North American market and benefit from the growing US onshore wind energy industry.
The Onshore Wind Platform brings Danish companies within the North American onshore wind industry together to foster knowledge sharing and collaboration. Our mission is to create synergies between onshore wind companies to provide the best opportunities to expand Danish onshore wind technology in North America.
Through The Onshore Wind Platform, our Advisors across North America will promote Danish onshore wind know-how, update company members with the latest update on the onshore industry in North America, and create partnership opportunities with Danish and US counterparts.
The Onshore Wind Platform is a result of close collaboration between The Trade Council of Denmark in North America and Danish Wind Export.

North America The Offshore Wind Energy Market
EnergyThe U.S. is one of the largest markets in the world and its offshore wind market is no exception. The U.S. Department of Energy found the U.S. could install 86 GW of offshore wind by 2050; this would create tens of thousands of jobs in every U.S. state and particularly in coastal regions, it would require around $400-billion in capital investment and would generate about 10 % of U.S. electricity needs.

North America The Onshore Wind Energy Market
EnergyWind energy is the largest source of renewable energy in the U.S., and together with solar energy, onshore wind has the lowest average price compared to conventional and other alternative renewable energy sources. With the ambition to reach 100,000 installed onshore turbines and have wind energy account for 20% of the country’s electricity demand by 2030, the opportunity in the U.S. onshore wind energy industry is paramount.
